This video focuses on off-ice wrist and snapshot techniques, emphasizing proper hand positioning, weight transfer, and puck control to improve accuracy and power.

Coaching Points:

  1. Hand Positioning: Keep hands away from the body with the blade cued; start the puck at the heel for wrist shots and at the toe for snapshots.
  2. Weight Transfer: Shift weight from the back foot to the front foot to generate power.
  3. Head Up: Keep the head up while aiming and releasing the puck for better accuracy.
  4. Snap Shot Technique: Begin with the puck on the toe, snap it toward the middle, and apply pressure on the bottom hand to release.
  5. Receiving Passes: Practise catching a pass on either the forehand or backhand and quickly move it into the shooting box to release.
